Marketing & Communications Manager (Melbourne)
You will work with the Head of Marketing & Business Development to provide support and coordination across Marketing, Business Development and Communications. This includes, but is not limited to:
Oversee implementation of campaigns from planning to post campaign. Have the ability to lead projects.
Provide support in the execution of any marketing related activities that will assist in lifting, and appropriately positioning the profile of the Agency within industries including but not limited to Entertainment/Arts, Lifestyle and Media/Marketing.
Maintain calendar of relevant trade and business development events including award submissions.
Maintain any campaign-related calendars for long-term campaigns.
Manage sponsorship implementation of key business events.
Refresh and refine the Communications Plan in line with brand guidelines and business development strategies in conjunction with the Head of Marketing.
Contribute to the social media strategy.
Provide campaign support for the M Agency as well as external clients from time to time. Have the ability to lead projects.
Ensure all communications channels are kept up to date.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing and potential client.
New Business (10%)
Assist in preparation of new business presentations.
Research target business categories.
1) Project/marketing management
2) Assist with the development and implementation of the M Agency marketing plan ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and business development strategy and goals
3) Increase engagement across all trade and social media platforms
4) Construct, tailor and publicise case studies to potential and existing clients
5) Ensure alignment of all owned assets
Develop your Skills and Knowledge Across Media, Marketing and Entertainment
Stay up to date on media, marketing and entertainment trade press and news. Liaise regularly with key stakeholders (including Sydney-based publicist)
Regularly attend trade events, conceive and implement strategies to leverage the involvement and expertise of The M Agency
Approach your day-to-day execution of tasks with a deeper level of comprehension and understanding of the purpose and how it contributes to the top-level Marketing Plan and the key objectives
Skills & Competencies
At least 5 – 7 years of experience in a similar role
Working knowledge of ticketing platforms and analytics
Appreciation of publicity/communications strategies
An interest in, and appreciation of the Arts community
Intermediate competency in Powerpoint, Word and Excel
Experience in administering social media channels
Strong writing skills, with superior presentation and editing skills, and high attention to detail
Self-motivated, high energy, drive and a positive outlook
